There's an article on *****.Net where Amir Khan is quoted as saying that he has more fans in Sheffield than Kell Brook. Also, his fight with Diaz will sell out the Motorpoint and generate more interest than any of Brook's fight last year and that Kell still isn't worthy of facing him.

Please give me your likely bemused thoughts.

Poor from Amir. Kell put on twitter 'good luck to him' when asked about Khan fighting in Sheffield & Khan comes back with bitter comments like these.

He makes it hard to like him at times

Does this mean he is gonna sell tickets this time instead of giving out tickets in exchange for kids toys or having more comps than actually sold tickets? I dont mind amir but when he puts on the macho, big bollocks, running his mouth act he looks stupid.

Genuine question, does Khan have a point? Anyone from Sheffield?

I don't find it inconceivable that he could have more support, albeit from the most casual of casual fans.

  11. Sheffield has a large ****stani community, and bradford is next door aswell so he may have a point ?? Who knows lets see how the show sells etc

There is a problem, I paid £60 to watch Brook fight Saldavia, the same seat is £200 before booking fees, I paid £90 for a very similar seat for Froch V Mack and many will have done for the Bute fight , it's a rip off.

to be frank mate, looking at the card as it stands, and the main event against a shot Diaz then I certainly wouldn't be forking out a tenner to watch this shite.

Khan needs to be told by one of the sycophants he employs and/or family member around him, that the smack talking does not suit him and does not make people like him. Some fighters can pull it off, the likes of James Toney and Haye for instance. But Khan just makes people dislike him even more by trying to pretend to be something he isn't.

Khan shouldn't actually speak to anyone, ever.

He should just wear sunnies 24/7 and refer everything to his publicist.

That way he'll sound much less of a twat than what he currently does.
