All threads are typically overwhelmingly side tracked by some posters and they never get back on topic.

Let's bring it back on topic.

When its all said and done, the difference in competition is there, but its still small, and to some people's view - minimal.

I don't agree with the whole 'Manny Pacquiao has been knocked out before. Even if Manny were to have dominant victories against Rios and Bradley, having taken many big shots, it's still not the same victory as a Manny who has never been knocked out'.
A Manny who brings the same level of ability as he did against JMM > win than Chavez. We can agree to disagree, but even if we were to disagree, the difference in competition here is minimal.

I don't want to hear any 'I don't THINK this is going to be the case in reality' - stick to the premise of the thread or go away.

 

It would be nice for me to be consistent but as I said earlier, I'm making a thread just trying to see ways in which I can emphasise the greatness of Mayweather..and this one is in regards to his potential greatness.
..So I don't really seek to be consistent as much as I seek to learn in the process itself. There's always going to be someone who respond to ideas that I even throw out there in a 'try and test' approach, isn't there Orriray..

 

I'm talking potential greatness + you're making a premature judgement on Manny even if you think your line of reasoning is the best. The fact is, we don't know how Manny is going to be. He may be more blood and guts than ever before for all we know. Hence why the first word on the thread is assume. I get where you're coming from though.

 

Which is the better win?
Buddy McGirt or Jose Luis Castillo?
I do feel Castillo is a little underrated.

 

Pea's got several wins better than May's best IMO, which to me are Corrales and Castillo.

 

Chavez's wins over Taylor and Rosario are better than any of Floyd's.

 

Roy Jones wins over Toney and Hopkins are better than any of Floyd's.

 

I certainly don't compare Chavez to Castillo.

 

The three greatest fighters of my lifetime are clearly Pea, JCC and Roy.
