Does Nonito Donaire Have More Skills Than Pacman?

People act as if Donaire hasn't beaten anyone. Donaire has a better jab better footwork better better ring IQ defense better counter-puncher. That right there shows you that he has better skills. Pac doesn't have him beat in any of those catagories. Doanire is clearly the more skilled boxer it can't be argued.:deal

 

Pac has a far better offense, has better combinations, is better at creating openings, is better at throwing from diffrent angles, is better at feinting, has better lateral movement, has far more varied punch selection ect, ect...

And compared to Manny, Nonito hasn't really beaten anyone. I mean, Darchinyan? Montiel? On par with Barrera, Morales and Cotto??

 

ya im not sure what being a fan of a fighter has to do with anything. pac was wild as **** in his lighterweight days and was KTFO there too

 

He was knocked out **** that must mean he has no skills. Not many fighters been knocked out before in the sport of boxing

 

but there are people saying pac would steamroll nonito at the lighter weights and to say he would steam roll him is just stupid

 

Well I think Nonito is overrated his last 4 fights very overrated 2 B class fighters and 2 shot to **** fighters I don't see why he is rated so high.So this is no hate to PAC but Nonito is more skilled to me now if you talk about who is superior athletically it's PAC.

 

Montiel was a top 10 P4P fighter when Donaire destroyed him and Vic D was as well if I'm not mistaken. I disagree about him being better at creating openings his footwork isn't better than Nonito's Pac has horribly flawed footwork is often off balanced and cant cut off the ring to save his life. PAc is also far more reckless and wide open than Donaire is. I'll give you combo punching though.

 

Donaire can't cut off the ring to save his life neither, man. Matter of fact, dude looks like **** when he has to lead, dude looked just as bad against Narvaez like Pacquiao looked against Mosley,except Donaire ****ing towerd over him and had every single advantage possible over him, but to be fair Mosley was shot to ****.

About Montiel and Darchinyan, sure they were p4p and all that, but Nonito had a huge size advantage on both of them, coupled with a speed advantage as well. Still great performances tho.

 

Narvaez didn't even want to fight man he was there only to survive and not get knocked out. I can't hold that fight against him just like I can't hold the Clottey fight against Pac.

 

You know you've got it wrong when you have the Marquez fans start rambling about how skilled Pacquiao is.

Stylistic versatility and quality of skill are different things, and the latter relates to level of competition.

Another complaint i have about Donaire is that he's too much of a head hunter. Dude rarely goes to the body...i was screaming at the TV during the Narvaez fight for him to go to the body and break him down. Nonito also lacks an inside game, but to be fair to him, he probably doesn't really need it considering the size and speed advantage he has over his opponents.

 

Exactly, and whenever Donaire would go to the body naraez trunks were up to his tits and the ref kept warning nonito it was low which was BS

 

That's true. But again, despite being inferior to Marquez in skill and stylistic adaptability, look at the explanations and GIF's I posted on page 2. It's clear Pacquiao has skills at the elite level that have been tested in ways Donaire's have not.

I'm tired of hearing people say Roy Jones had no skill, Rios has no defense, Maidana is a bum, etc. At every level everyone has skills, how they apply them depends on their strengths and the quality of their competition.
