You know what, I think Linares is more skilled than Castillo. Castillo could only fight on the inside, he didn't have any lateral movement. Linares throws better combinations, has a better jab, overall he's more skilled. He's never been dragged into a war like Castillo has time and time again. More fundamentally sound, more well-rounded, more skilled.

I think Broner is probably a more complete fighter than Meldrick Taylor. Taylor just had speed, as soon as he was timed by an old come-forward fighter in Chavez he couldn't deal with it. Broner has barely gotten hit and knocks people out without wasting any punches.

Gary Russel Jr. definitely has an edge on Frazier in terms of skill. Besides bobbing and weaving and going for that left hook, what skills did Frazier have? Gary Russel sets punches up, counters, controls the distance, etc. If the two were the same weight Russel Jr. would school Frazier. It doesn't matter if Frazier beat the better fighters because in terms of just skill, it's obvious Russel can do more. He's more well rounded.

tbh Marquez/Donaire would probably be kinda boring. he was in some real stinkers at 122-126.

his fights with pac are amazing because pac is vulnerable, but so is marquez, but marquez keeps manny in check because he can fight southpaws well

Juan didn't look this good or beat these kinds of technical boxers in his prime.

Donaire is fighting and beating the best technical boxers at his weightclass and in some cases in the sport of boxing itself. Narvaez is one of the most technically skilled boxers in the sport. There is a reason he had all those title defenses and why he keeps winning and is still winning now. When Marquez fought someone with technical skill equal to himself he lost. Chris John beat Marquez. When Donaire moved up he fought the highly technical and difficult Mathebula, he won. He then fought one of the most technical fighters in the sport again in Nishioka and he knocked him out.

Now he's going to fight in my opinion the most technical fighter in boxing in his prime in Rigondeux. Marquez did not face this level of skill. He is the greater fighter but he didn't take the toughest possible fights against the most technical possible fights. Floyd didn't do that either. Pacquiao honestly would get knocked out by a guy like Rigondeux, and would struggle against Nishioka and probably would lose on points to Narvaez.

Could he have won those fights? Yes. Would he? Not fighting the way he fought at the time being reckless. Rigondeux would counter the **** out of him just like Floyd would. Narvaez would be able to win because at the time Pacquiao was extremely one dimensional and only seemed to have one good punch which Narvaez would have seen and countered.

That said Pacquiao may have won, but lets not assume it's a guarantee. Styles make fights and the fighters Donaire walked through are some of the most technical and difficult fighters in the sport. Considering how much Pacquiao struggles with Marquez I would think Narvaez would give him problems because Pacquiao wouldn't have a size advantage like Donaire had. Rigondeux in my opinion would completely humiliate Pacquiao as Pacquiao has no advantage at all, not reach, not speed, not size, not power, and not skill.

Barrera is more skilled than Rigon****ingdeaux. Get the **** out of here with that ****.

Looking good and being good are two different things. Quality of skills depend on quality of opposition.

Skill doesn't always lead to greatness. Rigondeux is the most skilled fighter possibly in boxing today but he's not going to be as great as Floyd. Ward is as skilled as Floyd but no matter how many wins he gets he's not going to be as great as Floyd.

Donaire probably wont be as great as Pacquiao, but he's fighting tougher fighters in terms of the pre-requisite skill level required to win. Tell me how Pacquiao could beat Rigondeux without being countered and humiliated?

And I don't see Pacquiao beating Narvaez either. Tell me how he wins against either of those guys who are the same size as him, but with way more technical skill and much better defense? If it's hit and don't get hit, Pacquiao would get outpointed by Narvaez and knocked out by Rigondeux.

Manny Pacquiao has proven himself against legendary fighters such as Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Marquez (controversial), Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Shame Mosley, Timothy Bradley.

Pacquiao has fought high quality fighters whereas Donaire has not done that yet. So for now we have to say Pacquiao is better. Donaire also doesn't see himself on the same level as Pacquiao and respects him alot.

Yes because guys like Mathebula, Nishioka, and Narvaez are far better technical fighters than Barrera and Casamayor. :nut

Barrera is not more skilled. You can say he's greater, but he's not even close to more skilled. And if you watched Rigondeux's amateur fights you would immediately know this. And in my opinion Barrera would lose to Chris John or to Nishioka. He was and is very skilled but he was not on the same level as these sorts of fighters.

Marquez actually is on the same level technically speaking, and look at what he did to Pacquiao. Why should any of us believe Pacquiao, a young Pacquiao without the tools he has now, would stand a chance against Rigondeux? The Pacquiao who beat Barrera would get knocked out by Rigondeux.

They are. Look at their records. Nishioka and Navaez has gone for many years without losing, sometimes not even losing rounds, just beating the crap out of guys on technical boxing. You don't have an undefeated record like Navaez had just by accident. Casamyor I'm going to say is as skilled technically as them but not Berrara.

That is just my opinion. And Mathebula I never put in the same category as Nishioka or Narvaez.

Ricky Hatton, Diego Corrales, and Zab Judah are amazing fighters. It's just that fighters such as Manny Pacquiao, Juan Marquez, and Floyd Mayweather are on a whole other level with Floyd probably being even higher than both Marquez and Pacquiao. Floyd being better than Pacquiao is debatable since they never fought but thats the way I see it.

    Timing, stylistic strengths, and experience.

For the same reason Mayorga knocked out Forrest, the same reason Rios beat Acosta, the same reason Pacquiao beat a more fundamentally sound boxer-puncher in Barrera, the same reason Hagler stopped Hearns, for the same reason Chavez beat Taylor, for the same reason Castillo roughed up and arguably beat Mayweather, for the same reason Tzyu beat Judah.

To say Pacquiao would get knocked out by Rigondeaux is ****ing stupid.

Given your propensity to judge skill, I could take any lower level fighter with a pretty style, like Linares pre-Demarco, and you'd say a rugged fighter at the elite level, like Pacquiao, would lose to them.
