i was in boxing gym the lastnight and i was hitting a boxing bag. one of the men in the gym told me i hit hard. he told me my punch sound like gun shots. was he being serious? i think i might hit hard but i do not quite know for sure. tomorrow night i will be hitting pads with the man there. i only just start at the boxing gym so i am not used to fighting much there. i did boxing in ghana when i was there and they told me i am dangerous to fight.

If you dont know that you punch hard, you probably don't punch hard.

The mitts will give you a good telling. When I work the mitts, I can really see the extent of how limited my power is compared to how it seems on the bag. Only guys with injuries or who are practicing technique are ones who shouldn't look like a strong beast on a punching bag.

The pros make it look easy to look like a badass on the mitts.

Well, it's really up to the guys you spar with. If they say you can punch, then you can.

if a guy says you hit hard, and you wear pillow like 16oz gloves in sparring. You hit hard.

I don't know if I hit hard or not but in my 4th sparring session I managed to get a flash KD. He walked onto a straight right and I dropped him. I couldn't believe it lol. He was about 5'11, and I'm 5'7. Not sure if that means I hit hard though in fairness. Its a combination of things I guess. Anyone can deliver a hard punch if you get the timing, accuracy, and technique right.

Well, if you keep KOing people, I think it's safe to assume that you hit hard. "Hitting hard" is such a nebulous thing, most people can hit hard on a stationary heavy bag after awhile, but do they have the distancing and timing to hit with power on a moving opponent.
