Well, to be fair he's never faced quality like Broner, and he'll most likely take a bit of a beating. Also, he's reached a good place in his career, holding the title and he has his options open if Broner is out of the way at 140. Not saying he's afraid of being beaten but probably doesn't want to lose the position he's in as a lightweight champion at the moment.

nah mate Schaeffer is a man of his word, everything he says is gospel truth,

even though he never actually said that Burns ducked Broner in the first place.

although now that Burns has dropped uncle Frank, expect Frank to change his entire tune on Ricky Burns

because its such a stacked division itll be hard to win back a belt once Broner moves up (assuming Broner beat him) right? :hey

it's just not how Rickys mind works, see the circumstances around the Johanneson fight

No, wouldn't be hard for him, but it takes a while to get back to that and it's another loss on the resume. But you seem to be a big fan and I can't say I am so ill have to take your word on 'how his mind works'.

The man is full of ****, like almost everyone involved with promoting boxing.

You need to take everything he says with a large pinch of salt & not regard it as absolute truth.

you should let history do the talking, as Fisheyes has proved hes not gonna let his cash cows go into fights where he feels they may lose their bite. Hes all about money tried getting money off of Calzaghe , Bellew , Degale.

Rickys a professional he wont back away without good reason and 7 weeks to train for Broner wasnt enough time so stop your quaking
