I worry for you're health, you have an unhealthy obsession which I think ultimately will lead you to do something seriously dangerous, I'm trying to help you, I know you feel lost but I strongly recommend you see a doctor and get this sorted.
loved benn growing up ,although technicnally flawed more than made up for it in willpower and aggression .there will never be another benn ,the man was a throwback
Exactly. There never was a Benn! I've not still not seen a fighter on film show that kind of reckless aggression and fearless abandon before, with huge bombs from every angle imaginable. Tyson was powerful and aggressive but a pre-meditated, compact technical machine. He wasn't Benn. He was better, sure, in skill. But he wasn't Benn. Not even Dempsey was as aggressive, Foreman wasn't as wild... I've not seen a lot of Stanley Ketchel. Benn is just about the most exciting fighter there's been.
I have to agree, no one has ever brought the same level of excitement in the ring in my opinion. I thought at first that it was just because I was young and he was the fighter that got me into boxing but even when I rewatch his fights now it's exciting and I already know the result! He was always so dangerous when hurt, you'd think he was about to get stopped then he'd come thundering back throwing huge bombs and half the time knocking his opponents down or out! The guy was just a legend, my only criticism of him is that he should never have tried to be a DJ!
Terry wasn't as fast, ferocious or urgent. Anyone who could put Joe Gans (best fighter, lb4lb, ever) down was pretty dangerous though! And I know he was as crude as..
Never a dull moment with Benn. Easily my favourite British fighter of all time. Although I am starting to massively appreciate the legend that was/is Christ Eubank.
McGovern clearly was faster, not least as he had 40lbs less to carry around! And as fun as Benn was I would dispute your other claims as well. Benn often lacked the focus to be as ferocious as McGovern, and although an 'urgent' fighter, particularly at 160lbs; that 'urgency' sometimes went against Nigel, when he wasted energy, as he then lacked the smarts of McGovern...
