Mago fighting some guy named Bisbal, tonight in Atlantic City. - On ESPN, I THINK. I never heard of this guy (After Byarm & McCline, I thought Mago would be stepping up.) Bisbal has an impressive record, but against nobodies and never in a 10-rounder. I found that he was a member of the PR olympic team in 2004, but that's all I know. Is this a stay-busy fight for Mago, or is there something to look for here?
Reasonable fight after Abdu went down in the 1st against McCline. I expect an early KO again (like in all Abdu's fights).

I found that he failed to qualify for the Olympics in 2008 when he was beaten by David Price, but that's all I know. Is this a stay-busy fight for Vic, or is there something to look for here?

Abdusalamov is the rightful favorite, but we saw McCline crack his chin and he's obviously slow enough that counter (or lucky stray) shots are inevitably going to get through his limited defenses. Someone with big power and either a bit of precision or good fortune is going to lay him out. Could be Bisbal, might not. Bisbal, himself, is quite slow and carries some extra flab. Roughly as powerful as Abdusalamov, but without as much skill. He got dominated in the amateurs by freaking Bermane Stiverne, FFS. Chins are about a wash. Stiverne had him on ***** St. with headgear on a bunch of times, and he's been dropped a few times and stopped once in the pros. Basically it's going to be a slow-motion slug fest wherein a single punch can end it either way any time. Absusalamov's superior technique will probably make the difference. Don't be surprised if he gets KTFO himself, though. The only possible shock is this going past the 4th.
How is what you quoted above there specifically talking ****? :huh I'm simply pointing out the foolishness of the OP treating Abdusalamov like he's someone everyone ought to know and Bisbal like a complete unknown when really they're equals in terms of the absolute squat they've accomplished in reality. Abdusalamov has the bigger names on his resume, but Maurice Byarm coming directly off a hard loss (which itself was his only previous step-up in class, ever) and shot 42 year old Jameel McCline coming off a 3-6 run aren't really much to write home about. A year ago nobody knew who Abdusalamov was any more than anyone knows Bisbal (apart from their own countrymen and some diehards who follow the global scene too closely, like me. :yep) I'm just pointing out the irrational bias toward boxers who've been featured on American TV once or twice as if they're automatically in a different galaxy from boxers who haven't. If Bisbal had just so happened to feature on American TV a couple of times scoring knockouts, and Mago had never left Russia, people like Cableaddict would be making posts exactly like the one I made in parody there.
