Show me in the rules where using your elbow in any form is legal during a prize fight

How do you block from body shots? With your arms and elbows. Defensively, you can use them. There is no rule saying you cannot.

 

Was he blocking body shots? you can not use your elbow or forearm in a fight.... You can block with them but you sure as **** are not supposed to use it to push your opponent off or grind it in their face

You are allow to block with your elbows. Thats what you suppose to do. In a conventional defense, you use your elbows to block body shots. Frazier sometimes uses cross arm defense, where he uses list his elbows/forearm to block head shots.

 

OMFG. again you can use your forearm, elbows, head, shoulder to defend, you just can't strike with them.

"grinding or pushing someone off with their forearm" is a minor foul, like pushing, holding, punch with their head behind it. As long as the fighter is not constantly abusing it, the ref would not deduct a point for doing it, ESPECIALLY if they see their opponent is bull rushing them.

 

You can not use your elbow or forearm in the face of your opponent nor in the neck your not even allowed to push off with it which often gets over looked...

You can't "strike" with the elbow. Using it for defense is completely legit. And no, a fighter running into an elbow coming in is not a foul on the guy putting it up to defend himself. Don't run into it with your face......

Put it this way. If my opponent is trying to rough me up and get in my face, i would push/shove/ball up with my elbows up to get him off my face.
