Nothing ATG, but I would say really damn good for a HW of the past 10 years.

defensively- p4p top 10, if not top 5 at the moment

offense- has the tools like power, speed and footwork, but rarely uses them to his advantage, should try jabbing more often than leading with his left hook like vs Chisora, that is if he ever decides to become serious about boxing again

Calling his skills poor is ridiculous. You don't go as far as he did in boxing without having decent boxing skills. There are loads of super athletic guys that won't ever make it far.

Haye is actually a very talented fighter that didnt really fulfil his potential.

He has that special quality you get in those great fighters. He just didn dedicate himself to the sport as such by not learning the proper fundamentals, his stamina was also poor and not addressed (never did roadwork). This lead to his clumsiness and poor workrate in fights and bit of a ***** in engaging. under the righ frame of mind and tutelage he could been a boxing great with those relexes speed and concussive power.

He went 12 rounds with a supposedly prime HW ATG and didn't have a mark on his face at the end. Boxing is about hitting and not getting hit so he can't be that bad. Shame he doesn't really care about his legacy or he could have been remembered as a much greater fighter.

Good power but God awful foot work ..Just listen to what Manny Stewart had to say about Haye's foot work going into the Wlad fight ..Has to be one of the worst in boxing ,but his hand speed makes up for him ..Decent boxer but not a great one !
