In terms of greatest ever, Roy was on his own planet in his prime. Mayweather is tough to even put in the same sentence with Roy. I followed boxing through Roy's prime and I'm telling you, it was totally different. He was simply amazing. Floyd is a great boxer, but he's nothing we haven't seen before. Roy was something we will never see again.

Floyd fights in an era of 12 round fights. Not fighting 15 rounders cannot be held against him. Period.

Floyd is ~Top 30-35. It is possible for him to crack the Top 10-15 (and by top 10 I mean #10 - he can't get higher than 10 realistically speaking). He needs to fight and dominate the top competition that's left now: Sergio @ 160, winner of Saul/Trout @ 154, and then the top dog at WW after that period of time. And this is also assuming he thoroughly dominates Ghost (which I don't think he will).

Floyd's the best fighter in the last ~20 years for sure. If he wants to make a run toward GOAT status he needs to dismantle Sexy @ 160 / winner of Saul/Trout @ 154. And whoever emerges over the next 18 months @ WW.

I think Floyd's current spot, around 30, is about where he will finish. He might get up to 20 with some more impressive wins.

You know you're a great fighter when you would be able to do, P4P-wise, to Floyd, what you did to James Toney.

If he dominates Ghost (which I don't think he will, people believe Floyd is incapable of aging for some reason), dominates Saul/Trout winner @ 154, and then outclasses Maravilla @ 160... he makes a very, very strong case for himself (~20: possibly in the teens even). Those are ridiculous risks to take at the end of a HOF/ATG career against lineal champions weight classes above him.

    Of course he is

Look man, there were fighter's of the past who were great

But Floyd eclipses them not becuase of his 0 losses

    But because of his skills.

He had a chance to watch and grow from these legends and improve on his own game

Add that to his natural ability and you have a Greatest Ever

The same can be said about Jordan and Bryant.

Bryant developed his game by watching Jordan

Also, the technology, technique and resources are so much better now

Ken Shamrock and Royce Gracie were the best UFC had to offer, but you take them and put them in with B level fighters now, they will lose

    Floyd a G

and Broner has Floyd to watch and learn from so he too will be a G just as much if not more

how can he be the greatest? what the ****? the greatest must be from the be best division! the heavyweight division! Ali could take on 10 Mayweather in one evening! so every other heavyweight (or even light heavyweight).
he cant be the greatest because he is not the strongest boxer on earth! just very simple. other sings are just subjectiv opinions! obhectiv he is not the greatest because he is not close to be the strongest!
