I stopped believing once he got to welter. Big deal. he's still an ATG and 1st ballot HOF'er without anything big there.

Agreed. Pacquiao's time at 147 hasn't been impressive, IMO...

Mayweather fights nothing like Cotto just like Marquez fights nothing like him. Pac stylistically is a nightmare for guys like Cotto and Margarito while Mayweather and Marquez are a problem for Pac.

The punch that put Pac to sleep is Mayweather's bread and butter.

Cotto and Hatton were brave enopugh to fight Pac without demanding tests. They didn't fear for their safety like Mayweather :D

Show me an instance of Mayweather throwing a punch like that.

I wouldn't call anyone crazy for thinking that, Pac was a ****ing beast that night. I think that was prime Pac right on that night.

i don't even see the point discussing this sore spot. there are millions of fans of both fighters who lost out on this mega fight...if it had happened in 2009 when it should have, it probably would've been a boxing event people would be talking about 20 years from now.

do i think mayweather would always beat pac? yes. but i think the only real losers in this whole ordeal are the fans. now we have to wait for another mega-fight of this proportion to come around again...whenever that will be

There are a million examples where Mayweather anticipates his opponent coming forward and meets him with a straight right. If Pac rushed forward like he did against JMM and recieved the punch in the above gif, he would not make a 10 count.

Before you respond that the punch is not the same because Mayweather didn't step forward afterwards, note that no one Mayweather fought has been enough of a fool to rush at him like Pac does. So stepping forward keeps him in range for a pivot left or right hook (against southpaws). if stepping foward meant his opponent would be way behind him, you should believe that he is smart enough to do that.

Floyd always gets in these picture perfect shots that look like poetry. Even Hopkins doesn't do that
