I've seen a few threads here (best fight, best fighter) by division and thought this may be worth a try.

I'm going to pass on posting mine and let some of you more knowledgeable folks take the lead.

Very tough not least because so many gained titles and recognitions that others do not agree with...

    Heavyweight: Jerry Quarry

    Light Heavyweight: Chris Finnegan

    Middleweight: Herol Graham

    Welterweight: Colin Jones

    Lightweight: Jack Blackburn

    Featherweight: Pat Cowdell

Bantamweight: Johnny Brown, although Al Francis' (rightly) may debate that.

    Flyweight: Dai Dower

This is a starting point, already it is clear Blackburn was better than Diaz, and he won no 'title'.

Frankie Burns must be the man at bantamweight. That is insane bad luck.

Lightweight has the best crew of uncrowned champs for me.

    Mempis Pal Moore at Bantam?
Or Gilroy, or maybe the Jap, Takao Sakurai.
Tough one though but I like Janitors picks with maybe McPartland.

I'd suggest Jim Driscoll is pretty much a lock for featherweight.
