I just read this over at Ring Mews.

Evidently, Chambers has offered to take Arreola's place, and Kathy Duva is all for it. Do we know yet if this is really happening?

It would actually be a great fight, plodding power vs speed & finesse, but JEEZ, I really was excited to see Eddie take on the best CW's, expecially Huck.

Worst-case scenario: Chambers wins decisively, and decides to pursue the HW title again. BIG MISTAKE!

    Thoughts?

No harm in taking the fight and continuing at the lighter weight like Huck has, if true.

    Eddie a G.

I think Stiverne's a very winnable fight, but would still like to see him go down to CW, even if he's victorious. The only reason for him to stay at HW is if Povetkin decides to vacate his WBA strap to go after Wlad...and I just don't think that happens any time soon, personally.

I don't think Stiverne is really that good. Chambers would dominate him in every sense. I think Arreola was gonna eventually TKO him too, but that fight seems to never actually happen.

There is no way Chambrs can get his hand on Huck in the near future. So it would be stuipid not to take this chance! Chambers cant be sure if he gets big fights in the cruiserweight division.

I agree, although Stiverne's power is always a threat.

    - but that's the problem: I'd rather see Eddie lose, and go back to CW totally committed to that division. He must be very torn inside about his decision to leave HW, and a big win here might get him reconsidering.

Eddie, are you out there, bro? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

Stiverne is not ready for a fight at this level, his handlers keep rushing the kid, and they are ruining him.
Stiverne needs to take it slow for another 2-3 years before stepping up to top tier journeymen. His management should be ahamed of themselves the greedy ****ers.

Stiverne is hot, steamy garbage. I'd bet on Eddie all day.

Eddie would school Stiverne stupid, though if he'd get caught it would be lights out, but maybe 1 in a million chance of that happening
