Was Lennox Lewis British, Canadian, or Jamaican or a bit of everything?

  1. As much as I love Lennox he basically made himself British cos he knew thats where the most money was out the three

He is a bit of all of three. He doesn't have to pick just one.

He is all 3. He was born in London and lived there until about the age of 8 or 9. He then moved to Canada following his mum who had moved there. He also started learning how to box there. He boxed for Canada in the Olympics. He got a Canadian passport alongside his British passport making him a dual national. Both his parents are from Jamaica which are his origins and he lives there married to a former Miss Jamaica. So he can claim to be from all 3 places frankly. I don't know whether he has a Jamaican passport but he is entitled to one as well.

How come he hasn't been knighted yet? As a very successful sportsman he deserves a knighthood more than some others.

In those situations you're a mixture but ultimately it's up to the individual to define their identity however they choose. I think he thought of himself as British so who is anyone to argue.

Well, He was born in London. On his Wicki, it says that he moved to Canada when he was 12. To be fair, Canada and Jamaica are commonwealth countries, so he's basically British lol.

That's where he learnt to box and acquired the world famous Pilly tools box of skills ( caerPhilly ) .

Btw the reason he aint been knighted yet is because he refuses to suck Lord Snooty's dick .

    He's a bit of everything.

Whilst I'm grateful that he represented the UK, it is harsh on Canada having represented them in the amateur ranks and having had his boxing schooling there.
