Wow...Quality fighters in the surrounding divisions only to move up to fight the weakest belt holder in a higher division. Hmmmmm Where have I heard this before? I supposed next he'll be requesting catchweights and fighting guys with NO Boxing License. But the difference is...Broner will get murdered in ESB for this, while another fighter gets called an ATG!!!!

    SMH!!!

Its bold to move up 2 divisions. I say its lame because i wanted to see him unify lightweight, good fights at 140.

the thing that interests me the most is, who the **** is he gonna fight after he wins a world title at 147
i think Berto, Ortiz, Thurman, Alexander beat him at this stage
id only favour him against Lopez, Khan, Senchenko

Truth is, theres really nobody to fight right now at 140.

That being said, the fight is meh.... and so is the win that will probably come with it.

It's an easy assignment masquerading as a risk.

i hope he moves down too, he could come in light like at about 143-144 and then move down after

right now theres no one, but moving up to 147 winning a world title then vacating to go back down to 140 is so pointless, i can see him staying at 147 because at 140 is brutal, if i was him i would have at least 1 more fight before 140 or 147, them are divisions are no joke

Broner skips over a lethal 140 division to fight one of the weakest champs in all of Boxing and some people has the nerve to say Broner is making a "BRAVE" move. Pathetic.

Calm down everyone. Broner made a great move. Staying at 135lbs didn't seem like a smart move, moving to 147lbs is. He not only opens up the possibilities to fight the biggest names in boxing but he also opens up the possibilities of attracting foes from the great 140lb division to face him. If he successfully takes Paulie's championship belt, he can start calling out Pacquiao or Mayweather, the two biggest names in boxing. If those fights don't materialize then he can also call out Guerrero, who he can be measured comparably to Mayweather. Also, he can attract any 140lb fighter into taking his belt away from him which by then he will have the barganing power. He can also choose to go down one division and take on another divisional belt to prove he is the future pound for pound king.
