Looked through this, didn't agree with the original poster and think Groves, along with Degale,is a really exciting prospect.Destined,I hope, for big things. But in my very humble opinion he needs to be active this year with no more fights like the one he's got tonight.

I think Groves will win a world title. He needs to work on his defence as he does take shots he shouldnt be caught with. Sometimes he doesn't think about what coming back his way, he's too busy loading up. Its a good style for the fan though

Saul Alvarez has no mic skills or charisma but he is pretty over

Same with John Cena, No mic skills or charisma but look at him

    what a loud of ****.

he's an exciting fighter... can box, can bang a bit, likes to trade up close, has heart, resilience & also almost has that little bit of vulnerability about him.

was Carl Froch as well known domestically at the same age as Groves - no.

That last sentence is very true.Think Carl might even not have gone pro,or was just starting.I remember thinking his career wasn't progressing quickly enough and that he could run out of time. How wrong can you be?
Think George is a great prospect, but needs more activity and no more pushovers.Main worry is the tendency to cut and at the higher level could lose to men he'd normally beat.Abraham could be one of them.

Not really. People probably thought the same with carl froch. If hes a hard **** and fights the best hell become more and more likeable and admired. I get hat your saying though, but his ugly looks could become his trademark and star quality

Groves nearly sold out the York hall on his own after he turned pro, he's always had a big following since his amateur days.

He's a ticket seller, always has been. Just needs more exposure which he will get on sky.

    I disagree.

He's exciting to watch and he comes across as a very likeable guy.
