Hopkins vs Froch in the UK?

I would LOVE to see this fight. Makes perfect sense.

 

Not sure how Froch would do at LHW, but I'm sure he'd do better against Bhop than most think. He has more boxing IQ than people on here give him credit for.

 

No need for that fight after kessler has his way with froch

 

Froch would be too much for Hopkins I think.

Still, I'd love this fight!

 

It's probably best Froch comes in as a SMW same as hatton should of came in as a LWW vs floyd

 

Its a good scrap.

Froch is much more skilled than Cloud and would bring it on a totally different level. I think Froch would win by decision, but he definitely would have troubles with the old man.

 

Froch turned it down when Hopkins beat Pavlik saying he did not want to move up or fight at a catch weight back in 2008.

He can fight against fast fighters.. I know he sucked against Dirrel, but Froch has developed after the Ward fight..

The way Froch took out Bute... "No he cant do that because Hopkins is a good counter"... What is Bute?? Bute's wepon is counter to the body..

But it would be awsome, the winner aganst Froch Kessler takes on Hopkins.

 

If Hopkins is going to fight a 168er it should be Ward.

 

This is complete and utter bull****. Froch had to face mandatory contender Jermain Taylor after winning his world title against Pascal and if anything Hopkins who had just fought at 170 himself could have just offered the fight to Froch at 168, which he could have made. Soon after the Taylor fight Froch got the offer to be in the super six, which put Hopkins completely out of the equation.

 

Although Hopkins is good, he's not in his prime any more. He gets hit a lot cleaner now, for obvious reasons, so going against Froch isn't a good idea. Froch would also walk through his punches, which is another issue that Hopkins should consider.

 

Froch sons the old man. Lets not get carried away here, beating an american level at best pup like cloud isn't the same as going in with an elite world level high output boxer puncher in Froch.

The Cobra at this stage is a bit too much for ol man river...

 

I can picture this being a horrible styles clash, filled with more wrestling and mauling than punching. I'm confident Froch would win but I can honestly say I have no interest in seeing it.

If Hop has to fight a British fighter, it may as well be Cleverly.
