If Vitali had won his election then I have no doubt he would have retired but since he lost he's hanging on to his title and weighting up his options. However in doing so he is immitating Lewis in the way he's leaving the rest of the division to hang while waiting on his decision. He only fought once last year against the unfavored and generally un-heard-of Charr in a voluntary defense while ignoring Stiverne's mandatory shot and first claiming he wanted to fight Haye then ruling Haye out of ever having a shot after Haye beat Chisora, and the last I heard of his intentions was that was going to wait to see the outcome of Stiverne/Arreola before he decided what to do, and I saw that a few months ago. With Stiverne/Arreola postponed until late April it's likely to be another month again until we hear anything definite from Vitali, so anyone getting fed up with the static coming from his camp on this issue should not get their hopes up of seeing a resolution any time soon.
Ever heard about a expression called " Don't throw rocks in a glass house"? He is basiclly doing the same thing lennox did. Promise a fight betwen haye and himself and then fights charr and retires.
I think he's simply waiting to test his knee (recent knee surgery according to some reports). Maybe that along with a few other things....my guess though, is that he will retire.
So why do the Klitschko fans believe that the situation is totally different. The only actual differences don't flatter Vitali in the slightest. Hes running away from a fighter that boxes 10lbs above the cruiserweight limit. Lewis didnt fight guys like Charr whilst claiming he would knock Vitali out, if he had fought on i believe he would have faced Vitali. He owed Klitschko sweet **** all as he had ripped his face off whilst being semi shot. Unlike Roy Jones Jr he wasnt going to stick around propping up lesser fighters resume who wouldnt be fit to carry his spitbucket in his prime. Vitali has repeatedly said he was going to KO Haye and yet wont back up his talk. Judging by the same opinions that Klitlickers seem to spout on Lewis, Vitali is surely nothing but a hypocrite, i and many others can see right through those who seem to change the goalposts whenever it suits their opinion best.:good
Twice actually. Chisora in February and Charr in September. I like Vitali but can understand people's frustration at his prolonged silence.
hes involved in politics, theres another sort of election http://www.*****.net/news/wbn/2013/...-make-decision-on-kiev-mayoral-elections.html
Probably waiting on Arreola-Stiverne result also. Until that fight is over he doesn't have to announce anything I don't know why people on here can't understand that. Lennox sat on the belt waiting to see if Kirk Johnson could beat Vitali so they could fight in Canada. Had Johnson won he wasn't retiring.
Get out of here Glass Jawed BritIdiot Lennox waited to see if Kirk Johnson could beat Vitali so he could fight him instead of Vitali :roflatsch Lewis quit at 37 and had no injuries in his career Vitali is 42 and has had multiple injuries. He doesn't have to announce or do **** until after his Mandatory is set just like Lennox did.
