I agree 100% with what you've said. I don't believe for one second that there was a rehydration clause. It would be extremely dangerous, and I'm certain that nobody would have agreed to it.

 

JohnnyDrama is posting like he's severely dehydrated and is taking a worse beating here than Oscar took versus Pacquiao.

 

Read my post again and you'll find your answer for how and why DLH was able to make the 147 pound limit and was able to experience only putting on a few pounds after weigh in. You seem like an intelligent guy yourself so I have faith you'll have no problems finding it.

 

Oscar was old, drained and shot. Forbes broke his face just one fight before for **** sakes. Nothing but a W over a name opponent.Like Holmes over Ali, Lewis vs Tyson, and Marciano over Lewis.

DLH started off with vigor in his fight with Pac but he wasn't use to not being able to at least match his opponents speed. The disparity was too great and Oscar folded, early.

DLH hasn't looked like he did against Ike since he had his fight with Ike! That was a prime, active and hungry Oscar. He didn't look like that in his fight with Floyd either.

If DLH was that drained....that sick and that depleted.......there's ZERO chance that a walking corpse would be able to take 8 rounds of punishment. Physically it would be next to impossible.

DLH just gave up mentally and physically his body held up under all the punishment.

Ali was a completely different fighter at that point than what DLH was. Ali had already begun showing early signs of Parkinson's.

- I'm actually one of the biggest Oscar fans on ESB by the way.
- Who can beat a prime Oscar? Not many. It wasn't Trinidad, Mosley 2, Whitaker, Vargas, Quartey etc. etc.

We can strip down any fighters' wins or losses and pick them apart or build them up.
- I don't give credit where its not due, but since you're trying to big this win up..when you look at it for what it really is...it really isn't much of a 'win'...Roy Jones Jr will always be in our Top 30's regardless of how many times he loses now as we know he is SHOT. Shall we give bums huge credit for beating a shot Wilfred Benitez? Oscar was SHOT for the Manny fight.

It's OK if you accept 1001 ecuses from grown ass men looking to rationalize why their guy lost. It's even OK if you don't change your view no matter how many points I make. I'm good with that.....but if you think you telling me I'm wrong will somehow have me see things through the same rose colored lenses your wearing, I suggest not holding your breath. ....You have a better chance selling snow to an Eskimo.

Because. .......I trying to keep things in their proper perspectives. DLH wasn't at his best....but that version was still a top fighter who shut down a very good fighter in Forbes and had a split decision against a prime Floyd who was moving up in weight.

DLH went into the lions den more times than any other fighter in the last 30 years. He won and lost but he took on everyone. Eventually stepping up that much, that often will produce losses and sometimes devastating ones. I dont hold it against him one bit. I admire him for making all these fights against the best of the best. No one else did it as frequently as Oscar.
