You know sometimes you watch a fighter and you think ''Good fighter, Not sure if i care whether he loses or wins but he's young so suppose should hope he does well''. Well that was me last night, Thurman's a good fighter no doubts but i'd love to see Paulie beat him after this. Ok it's not major and seen worse but i don't like the way he came at Paulie here. Have some respect calling a guy who's a two weight world champion and fought the very best ''son'' is poor form IMO. [yt]FuwYrP2I-TI[/yt]
Yeah because Paulie has never done **** like that before and has always treated people with the utmost respect Thurman seems like an attention seeker, that was all a bit cringeworthy
Here's the second part to it: [yt]i1d4063GgGo[/yt] What I wrote in the General: Thurman got owned pretty badly there. Tries to blow his own trumpet and diss someone else, but ends up being made to look a fool. He turned the cameras at his own press conference onto someone else, and let that someone shut his mouth (despite being the one with the mic ). That said, Thurman does beat him in a fight.
Thurman hits hard, hes not bad, but the minute he steps up and goes in with a puncher or a world level guy, I can see him being exposed. He's not bad, but just not great. Paulie makes him miss all night in my opinion.
Agreed Rico. Thurman has ability, Needs to stay humble rather then try talk crap to Paulie who didn't even do anything.
I find Paulie quite tedious now. His motormouth routine is just exhausting when he's so utterly average and routinely dull in the ring.
Boxers would cuss out their granny if it helps them make a better paycheck. Thurman lost the verbal war but I don't think he was out of line and Paulie has mouthed his way to some decent paydays himself in the past.
Paulie schooled him. It appears the same Haymon mouth piece is preparing both Broner's and Thurman's speeches for them. They both have something funny or half witty to say, but when they get a response which isn't covered in their pre-notes, they stutter and fold.
Anyone notice the U.S.S laughing besides Paulie?. Steve's such a class act, I wish Tyson was fighting someone i don't like. I really don't wanna see Cunningham get beat up if indeed that is the case.
