I know Ricky Burns will never be a P4P candidate, and I know he has limitations, but it's not often you get to follow a very local fighter coming from a career treading water to far exceeding expectations.
I'm even willing to not feel resentment for him after the serious hassle the week's events have caused me.
I doubt very much he'd beat Broner, but a proper fan should stand by a fighter, and I need something different from JMM,Floyd,Bernard and Froch.
Some people think fans of Burns are deluded and maybe some people have jumped the wagon late, but I can think of several who are very grounded when it comes to Ricky and isn't the whole point that a fighter should always try to attract new fans?

I really like Marcos Maidana because he is a no nonsense fighter. I like the fact that he improves with each fight and I believe that he will be a force to reckon with at 147.:bbb

I've been saying Thurman will be special, if you saw what he did last night you see rapid improvement, most of the net boxing heads talk down on him.

No no..I'm a big fan, always have been and I think that if he really dedicated himself he could do some serious damage as long as he can make 160. But it seems he lacks dedication and discipline, which I can't really blame him for. Having a rich father and choosing a tough sport like boxing is impressive.

 Was about to post that exact thing but thanks for doing it for me.

Though I think he can be described as used-to-be-elite, assuming elite means near or at the top of your division, and not historically elite. Judah, Paulie, Maidana, Kotelnik, made him solid at 140.

Well Lucas is about to clear out 140 - which is the weight he will/should retire at..

    elite? Not at first glance...
