Let's say theoretically, if Mayweather had gone in there and honored the weigh limit of the contract and came in at 144 lbs instead of the 146.

Would it have made a significant difference in the fight?

Would it still have been a domination like we saw?

I ask this because one of my buds often tells me that if Mayweather hadn't cheated the scales, he would have lost that bout

Several ESBers (Whom I will not name) also say the same thing. What is your point of view?

If he ACTUALLY couldn't make the weight? Yes, 2 pounds of water is a lot

If he didn't make the weight, it's probably because he couldn't make it. If he had to kill himself to make those last two lbs, he might have felt the sting of the shots a bit more, might have had to preserve his stamina and move a bit less, might be a bit less strong when bullying in clinches. Ultimately, aside from style and skill, JMM's own conditioning was poorly planned. Slow of hand and foot. So the fight might have been more competitive, but I HIGHLY doubt it changes the outcome.

I've never had to cut but I guess that would be a lot.

I'm sure Mayweather would've dominated either way, but from experience that last pound can definitely alter your performance

i dont think he won because of size, he won on speed and reflex and skill, you didnt see him laying on JMM and imposing his size

I don't think OP is referring to size, I believe he was asking if Floyd would've been dry or drained
