Does berto suck that bad or guerrero that good?

the ref sucked that bad

 

Berto has only fought three B level fighters (Ortiz, Guerrero and Collazo) and I believe he lost to all three, so i think he really is just a gatekeeper type fighter.

 

Blame the ref? please.......

Guerrero is just that good. Which still isn't saying much. Berto is a decent fighter.

 

I dont think Berto is awful but he seems to have gotten worse

He looked to improve each time out then after he demolished Freddy Hernandez he seemed drunk with his power rather than setting up his punches he was 1 at a time trying to take opponents heads off

I remember Merchant said after the KO its not Berto its how bad Hernandez is...well Hernandez did go 10 with Lara whose considered to be a big puncher at 154

Berto does have power but that shoulder roll he tried to employ was dumb and ineffective, he fought a one handed fight vs Guerrero and simply couldnt deal with the infighting, workrate and body punching of Guerrero

his eyes swelling didnt help his cause

he came on late vs Ortiz and Guerrero and started winning rounds so lately its been workrate plus poor starts hampering Berto

I am wishy washy on Guerrero, great fight vs Berto but sub par vs Aydin

thats true he thought he was terminator after taking Hernandez out
i think this is the biggest wake up call for him because he missed out on a Floyd fight again, he probably wont get it now, plus it was Guerrero who beat him who isnt even a legit welterweight, if he loses again soon its game over for the guy

He could be a paper champ, I wonder why he doesn't get credit for his super entertaining fights

 

Berto has strength,speed and talent,but damn he is dumb and can not adjust

 

Berto doesn't do very well against southpaws and can't fight inside.

 

I think he and Ortiz should really consider a rematch, it would be big money and a chance to really save face

though its too risky as Berto has the 2 losses plus the PED's suspension and Ortiz has the 2 losses and the broken jaw

both guys careers are at unfavorable crossroads

 

Berto was terrible. Every one knew his chin was suspect. His 0 was very suspicious
