    What time?

Cool to have Bas back on the podcast, I'm sure they will be discussing The Reem & Ramon Dekkers passing away.

Bas is always cool and Rogan is such a fanboy towards him it's hilarious. Rogan is basically starstruck whenever he talks to Bas and Bas is entirely comfortable with it, I find that quite amusing.

I listened to Rogan yesterday as Dr Amit Goswami was on and I find his field very interesting. Rogan made it almost unbearable yet again. He could not get his head around the concept of non-local consciousness and at one point said 'Sir, I am going to have to disagree with you' I wanted to kick him in the throat.

Bas talking about the "I would just poke your eyes out" or "I would just bite you" idiots in the world was awesome.

"I can poke your eyes as well, only I can do it more accurate and better." :deal

Well, congrats, you bought a load of bull**** because that's exactly what Goswami was shoveling down your throat.

I heard a theoretical quantum physicist being challenged by a stoner that sat in silence as a bloke talked complete bollocks about UFO's a week ago. One guy had some interesting points about existence and hard science to back it up, the other had some dubious anecdotes and was releasing a film in order to cash in.

There was no hard science that validates any of the conclusions that Goswami makes. None whatsoever.

I'm aware Joe is not a scientist, I'm probably his biggest critic in that aspect, I've gone back and forth with him on that topic multiple times. Doesn't change the fact that Goswami is selling nonsense masked in science-y sounding terminology.

All quantum theory sounds like nonsense as sub atomic particles obey mysterious laws. The observation principal and hard scientific data thrown up by the double slit experiment, for example, tell us that everything we think we know about the universe does not apply on a sub atomic scale.

Goswami made the very valid point that Joe was applying logic and instinct to every concept he encounters. You simply cannot do that when speaking of the quantum.

As Bohr said about the photoelectric effect of quantum jumps 'If you think you understand it, you haven't thought about it enough' The greatest minds in science have devoted their entire lives to quantum physics and cannot get a real handle on it but remain open to all possibilities, but Rogan just dismisses it as wrong because his weed addled meat head can't accept he might not be capable of comprehending some of the most complex theories in all of science.

Right, but that doesn't validate the claims that he was attempting to make.

Theoretical Quantum Physics = THEORIES arrived at upon the study of scientific fact that are to be proved or disproved. Not dismissed out of hand because they don't sound right. Nothing about the quantum world sounds right.

Rogan does, however, believe in bigfoot.

Okay, except that we can verify the predicted outcome of quantum experiments. We have for decades now.

You seem to be thinking that I'm always on Joe's side of things; I'm not, in fact he's gotten quite angry with me questioning his "sponsor" AlphaBrain". He doesn't like my calling it for what it is: bull****.

The claims of Goswami are nonsense and are not validated by the evidence.

We cannot even pin down the precise location of sub atomic particles at any given time.

I don't think you are on Joes side, I do think though, that you are making the same mistake as him in this instance. You cannot call anything Goswami said as nonsense as it has not been dis proven. He also in this podcast dismissed the notion of string theory as he knows it can never be proven or dis proven as it is too abstract an idea which shows he is interested in measurable phenomenon rather than out and out theory. The data would point towards these ideas even though they make no sense in the classic way of thinking.
