I think Broner is the truth, but why is he skipping 140?

None of that refuted my point.

Again, one fight at 147 does not equal skipping the 140 division.

    You're a certified idiot.

Maybe, he said awhile back he had no trouble making 130 as well. And before the Escobedo fight, there were lots of pictures he tweeted out there where he was eating junk food, drinking slurpees, and the like while he was supposed to be cutting weight. His lifestyle could well make it more challenging for Hinton cut weight (regardless of whether he actually wants fights at 140, which is a different question.)

Yes, but there is more money to be made at 140.

He will indeed go down to 140 after the Paulie fight, minimal risk, WW title against the light punching aging boxer...Broner will likely only weigh in at 142-143 for the fight...he's just taking the easy route to claim a title at welter while Paulie still has one, then he will campaign at jrww...

Short term, maybe. Long term? Nah.

He's going for fame and marketability. Paulie is a pretty well known fighter. A KO victory over him while jumping 2 weight classes will make a little noise.

Also, maybe Broner thinks he is capable of jumping around weight classes a bit right now? After all, he did weigh 150 on fight night in his last bout while weighing in at 135. If that's the case, he could conceivably fight at 135, 140, and 147. Just saying.

At a 150 ring weight and capable of weighing in at 135, Broner has options in my view. He may fight at 140 after Paulie, who knows.

I would have liked to see Broner at 140 after facing Abril but I'll wait to see what happens
