Your point? They didn't. And who forced that fight to happen by re working the deal?

Well then if he fought Canelo instead of Guerrero in May, he'd be fighting another easy opponent, right? I mean...what has Canelo done? Exactly.

    Canelo got owned.

    This is off topic
I doubt Mayweather is very knowledgeable on the sport of boxing in general, in terms of it's history and the fighters in his division and other divisions. He probably only knows a few things that help him answer questions from the media more easily.

Man you keep repeating this, it's just not true. They asked for a guarantee provided both guys win.

He beat Josesito Lopez an average career LWW

Shane Mosley who had not won since 2009

Kermit Cintron, a career WW, who had lost 2 of his last 3 going into the fight

Alfonso Gomez another career WW cab driver

Ryan Rhodes a 35 year old cab driver

    Matthew Hatton FFS

Lovemore Ndou a 39 year old career LWW

Carlos Baldomir a semi retired 39 year old who had lost 3 of his last 5 going into the fight

His resume is terrible. Really ****ing awful for a top fighter.

Agreed. That's why it makes no sense to say Guerrero is an easy fight and a cherry pick when Canelo got that sh*tty ass resume. These posters just need to come out and say, "I f*cking hate Floyd. I won't be happy till he loses." And just post it once. Why waste so much time talking about it?

Guys, at this point everything should be clear. Lets go back in time to Roy Jones when he had his HBO contract fighting taxi cab drivers. This is what all boxers strive for, easy fights, big contractual paydays. Floyd has been retired, most of you just have not realized it yet. He WILL fight subpar competition until he gets too old where he gets knocked out by one. This is what happens when boxers get paid too much. And you can talk all you want about how they are putting their life on the line, etc..., but when its gets so bad that they refuse to fight each other then you know its a problem. This should sort itself out though (I give another 10 years when truly great MMA talent starts being developed), MMA being a big reason.

And btw, Pretty Boy knocks Canelo out like its a walk in the park.

This. He never said he wouldn't fight him, just he's not in the position to demand a fight with Floyd be put in writing. I said from the get go, he's not getting that guarantee, nobody is.

If anyone on this site thought for 1 second Floyd would give ANY fighter a guarantee for his next date when neither of them have fought yet you're either a new boxing fan, or stupid. When has Floyd ever given someone a guaranteed fight in writing that wasn't a rematch clause? Especially now that he's a free agent and can fight when and who he chooses? :patsch

Guerrero has a solid resume coming up through the weights. At 147 he has 2 very decent wins against an undefeated Selcuk Aydin, and HBO hype job Andre Berto.

He has taken the correct route fighting the WBC interim champ, then the WBC number 1 contender and has earned his shot at the WBC champ.

He is overmatched, but so is everybody Vs Mayweather.

Instead of hating on Floyd, people should be praising Guerrero for doing things the right way. He is tough, and will come to fight. He deserves his shot at the belt.

Remember, Manny Pac also made the jump from 135 to 147 and look what happend to him when given the chance. Guerrero deserves that, and the champ isnt being a ***** and is giving his mandatory that shot he deserves. (plus he is a 5 time world champ in 4 weight classes)
