Man I'm convinced this is all just hype to make people forget the Pacquiao fight not happen. First put the word out that mayweather didn't sign to fight a guy 2 months before his up coming fight get everybody on the mayweather is ducking bandwagon since its so popular and hope when they sign to fight people actually give credit. Only thing i don't get is how is it that since mayweather hasn't sign to fight a middle weight he ducks great fighters when his whole career is basically nothing but guys coming off good wins. I know for people that don't like him its a hard concept to grasp but has the thought every occurred some of these guys might be ducking mayweather. For example look at the thread about the cotto fight scaring mayweather from the Pacquiao fight now consider this. In Pac-Cotto you have Pac beating a guy that was basically scared of Mayweather and literally said neither him his trainer or promoter ever tried to make May-Cotto. In May-Marquez you have mayweather beating a guy who at that point had beat Pacquiao's ass twice. Infer what you want but I'd like to take something Jim Lamply said back when casa and fretias was ducking "why fight someone thats almost an assured lost and hurt your potential drawing power when you can fight lesser guys and convince people they scared.

 

Excuses? I dont get it...fact remains if Canelo was going to being Millions of viewers, why is Canelo-Trout on regular showtime? Why not on PPV is he has this massive fan base?

 

atsch I tire of you posters who only see **** in black and white. There's a middle ground for ****'s sake.

This isn't about trying to prove canelo is some major house hold name, since I never contended that. It's what floys said, about how he's the one who made canelo famous. Canelo had a sizeable following already. It's pretty much common knowledge.

 

Yeah he does but he's gained a lot of recognition being featured on PPV's. Don't understand why YOU can't see that when you're getting on others for seeing things only in black and white. You know what Floyd was getting at so quit acting like a dummy.

 

Get a grip please. Canelo had a following before he fought on any undercard of Floyd. now that doesn't mean he was a huge draw, if that's what you took from my post. Just means he was already known, and getting more mainstream notice. Don't try to over analyze everything....

 

Canelo will get more for this fight than Martinez, Ward, Donaire or Chavez JR got showtime showed him some good money.
