sad that miguel is getting a new trainer. diaz is underrated, even then he still is open to learning new methods. hope the guy gets hired by more.
He's a guy I would love to sit back and talk boxing with one afternoon. His approach, to me, is great; very scientific and professional. Most importantly, though, he has a great ability to communicate his vision...in two languages no less. Definitely under rated and would be on my short list if I were a fighter.
I don't know where people are getting that. In an interview with the scene, they asked if he'd continue with Pedro, and Cotto said "We have to wait and see." Which was his answer to almost everything from who they were going to fight to when. Pedro was his original choice when they hired Steward until Pedro felt comfortable enough with the experience he had with pro fighters to train Miguel.
i hope Miguel Cotto didn't drop Pedro. He gave him three very solid performances. they are a good team.
Update Pedro now trains MMA Superstars Vitor Belfort and Suga Rashad Evans Check out training pics and videos here http://mundoboxing.com/
