Mayweather gives his thoughts on Canelo's ultimatum

He makes more for Showtime than most guys make on ppv so why fight on PPV for less? I know you get this Showtime pays good money for his fights if they didn't he could fight on his on ppv and still makes what JCC Jr is making

 

But c'mon, when you're at 154 you can't beat a junior welterweight and then expect to get a fight with Mayweather. Guerrero jumped 2 weight classes to beat a solid ww. He's also on The Ring's top 10 P4P list. Has Canelo done anything as impressive? Where is he on the P4P list? If Canelo had already beaten Trout then YES, he would have the right to talk like a boss. But at this point he has nothing but his red hair as the only thing that keeps his name relevant.

I'm not sure why people want Canelo vs. Floyd so bad, so soon. Canelo fighting Trout is the perfect setup. Winner of that fight has every right to pressure Floyd into a fight. It works out beautifully. Instead of one "superfight" which may not even live up to its expectation, we get 1 great fight (Canelo-Trout) and 1 good fight in the Spring. That's a better package for fans mainly because a fight can't really be a "superfight" until both fighters involved have already proven to be elites.

Floyd made the right move (so far). Had he fought and beaten Canelo, people would've asked, "Whom has Canelo beaten?" or more importantly "What has he accomplished?" Then what do you say if you're Team Floyd? At least they can answer with, "He's conquered Trout" assuming Canelo beats him in the upcoming months.

it wasnt a million...but fact remains he was already on 3 ppv cards headlining before he fought Oscar which goes back to my point....If Canelo is this huge star, why hasnt he had 1 ppv fight?atsch

Exactly, but I dont see canelo talking bad about floyd or anything, Im not really a fan of both so Im not picking sides, again I could be wrong but I have not heard canelo talk bad or call floyd names aside from the fact that they could not reach a agreement. Nothing wrong with floyd not commiting to canelos demands and nothing wrong with canelo going his own way. But I really feel like floyd is always on the offensive if things dont go his way & truely sounds like he is upset canelo did not need him.

Also...so you are admitting that Golden Boy is "protecting & ducking" guys in his weight class until he can be coddled into a fight with the PPV king...thank you for proving my point.

No he didnt say he created him, everyone knows the Golden Girl did that...but Canelo has got tons of exposure just by fighting on Floyds cards, even though he was fighting chumps on those cards
