Angles are something I thought us while watching Hopkins-Cloud. I use the term "worked the angles" or "attacked from angles" but it's a tricky concept. Who used angles the best and most effectively? Is it just movement? If you film footage and examples, please feel free to share em :good
these are both examples from pacquiao, quick and dirty but this is what i was thinking. in both the margarito fight: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfbbUhIH1a4 and the hatton fight (notably 3:20-3:50) www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jmo9MmAV-2Q he seems to use angles quite a bit. against margarito it was near constant and against hatton, it was to set up his own offense and keep hatton COMPLETELY off target and balance
Watch Marquez fight Pacquaio, half a step back, out to an angle and able to pivot back into the punch, brilliant.
you and me turbo, we're gonna get along on here. i made my wife watch that first round before the hopkins fight last weekend. he looked like a ****ing cartoon character, side stepping, feinting and...angling? poor hall
beautuiful example. he knocked him out by creating tiny, tight angles. he did it against sosa as well. constanting stepping to the left just a touch and hammering him with rights
Thats maybe the worst I've seen a contender get beat on. Mind blowing stuff. Still have the DVD :yep :happy
