I don`t really need to hear the punches go in, as long as I can see what`s going on & not have some idiot like Lederman in my ear telling me one thing is happening when my eyes are seeing the opposite, its distracting & annoying..... besides, I usually watch the fight with commentary a few times first, I only watch with no sound in close, hard to score fights.

You should try watching with no sound, its an eye opener.

Ideally there should be more versions without commentary but you can still hear the punches & the crowd (like the version of Gomez-Pintor I seen a while back) but that aside I`ll stick to no commentary in very hard to score fights.... I really don`t see why you need to hear the punches land anyway, to each their own but watching the fight tells you everything you need to know IMO.

Matt, I think LMR got the better of the series and has a better middleweight resume and looks better on film. There's no secret formula or anything, I think you're talking perfect sense, I just think LMR was the greater fighter. Little things, like getting rid of Mundine quicker than Monzon, the first man to stop Benton (cuts) yada yada yada

I have, for Valuev-Holyfield. I found it preposterous after a few minutes.

Hey guys would you rank Duran over Leonard if Duran didn't win that first fight? **** that's why I can never rank Duran over Leonard

    See my logic? Infallible

Marquez would have gate crashed the Barrera/Morales party much earlier

I`d struggle to motivate myself to watch that sloppy, amateur **** if you paid me, sound or no sound to be honest. Never seen that fight, never will.

    :good

Yeah, but sweet Jesus, you are talking about fifteen title fight wins against one...he has a sparkling MW resume, but he doesn't have any wins like Tiger. The press have it 2-2 from ringside, the judges have it 3-1 Griffith. I just really can't see any real reason to have them ranked all that closely.

I agree he looks "better" on film, but Griffith is witheringly effective as they come. I had GP, another guy whose word i heed, telling me he was going to beat ****ing Monzon and Hagler the other day, like he's some sort of invincible middleweight (As along as Curtis Cokes doesn't move up).

    Live and let live though.

How do you know it's sloppy and amateurish if you've never watched it?

That food tastes disgusting I've never tasted it.

That song is terrible ive never heard it.

That fight is terrible I've never seen it.

    Stop talking tripe Bill.

Morales & Barrera ended each other`s primes before Marquez or pac got near them.... I`d fancy Morales & Barrera at their very best at 122/126 (of the first 2 fights) to beat Marquez or pacquiao, personally.... Morales & Barrera were the main men in the lower weights for a long time, great fighters, people have short memories.
