Why should Mayweather lock himself into a fight with Canelo in September? Should Alvarez lose to Trout (which he will) then it would only be deserving that Trout be given the opportunity instead. Maybe if there was a clause stating that should Canelo lose the fight with Floyd would be null & void

Forget if Canelo loses or wins. Mayweather can fight Canelo anytime he wants. So with that being said, there's no reason to sign any sort of contract to face him considering Mayweather has an upcoming fight.

You mean the Marquez who schooled Pac in 2011 at WW, and who KOed him at WW a few months ago?

You mean Hatton who used to drain down to 140 and was actually heavier on fight night than Floyd??

And didn't floyd start at a lower weight class than Hatton anyway??

I think the only ones that look like asses around here are the ones who defend Floyd level of competition while also trying to knock another fighter for basically doing the same thing ..See Floyd set he standard of cherry picking everyone else is just watering down the formula..

And when I started this I said it ALMOST looked like Floyd's but I see you missed that ..I recognized what he did at 130 it's what he did at 140 and above is what I call into question ..But I can't argue with people who are blind ! You proved nothing wrong you just proved me right about most if not all of his supporters .

Why all I care about is him fighting Floyd But isn't he in a unification bout with Trout ? When was the last time Floyd unified or attempted to unify anything ?

First off, how is the Trout fight a unification bout? Mayweather is the WBA JMW champ. Second, Mayweather mentioned Alexander as an opponent. That would've been a unification bout and people were killing him for even mentioning Alexander.

Everyone was calling the Devon Alexander fight complete ****. Mallignaggi's about to lose his title to Broner and NO ONE wanted to see that fight and Bradley is under Top Rank.

In a perfect world it would have been nice to have the winners locked in the fight
