The point is, you can't knock a guy for not unifying when people don't want to see that guy against the other champs. Back to the Canelo/Trout "unification". If Trout's WBA regular title is considered legitimate enough for it to be a unification bout, then shouldn't Guerrero's interim belt hold the same weight? And in that case Mayweather/Guerrero would be a unification bout. What makes a regular title more legit than an interim title?

Well this isn't a perfect world. But this should at least be a world based in logic. How can we knock a guy for not doing something that would make no sense for him to do?

No kidding, I'm not knocking Floyd, but as a fan the best thing would have been for Mayweather to commit to fighting the winner

But why? How would that help Mayweather? All it would do is limit his flexibility and take the attention off his upcoming fight. It would be a counterproductive move.

I know what your saying, what I mean is the winners of Floyd/ Guerrero & Trout/ Alvarez signed to fight each other. That puts attention on both fights. Who cares about helping Floyd? We are the ones buying (streaming) these fights

Well this unification will be at jr middle ,yes allot of the titles have less meaning these days but at worst you get 2 of the best jr middles fighting each other and at worst we move closer to an undisputed champ ..It's better for the sport in the long run ..
