Article over at the Scene. Floyd basically tears Ward a new one. I'd post it here but don't want to get banned.

I for one think Floyd is absolutely spot on in everything he says. Go read what he said and discuss whether or not you agree.

BT: You know, that's one of the reasons why Guerrero said he's confident that's he's going to beat you. During a conference call, he said that because of everything that has happened to him and his family leading up to now, he knows God is on his side, so he has faith that he'll come out victorious on May 4.

FM: Man, listen, I mean, like I said before, saying prayers is not a bad thing, you know what I'm saying? Believing in God is not a bad thing at all, but they get to a point where these fighters be feeling like God got certain sides and things like that. That's not true. We're all equal under God's eyes. Like I said before, these fighters be killing me with all this S.O.G., man. I don't really know Andre Ward. I don't have anything negative or bad to say about Andre Ward. Nothing against him, and like I said before, anybody has a right to call themselves whatever name they want to call themselves. He calls himself S.O.G. If I'm not mistaken, that stands for Son of God. Last time I checked, we're all God's children. When one fighter is facing another fighter, God don't choose sides. What's going to happen in life is going to happen. Everything is already planned out. Listen man, if you're going to be a pastor, go to church. If you're going to be a reverend, go to church. If you're going to be a boxer, be a boxer. I mean, one minute, they want to say all this S.O.G. stuff, and the next minute, they wanna go put tattoos on they body. I ain't never seen a pastor boxing. I ain't never seen a reverend boxing. I say a prayer that my opponent lives to fight another day and I live to fight another day. You got these guys trying to hurt a man on Saturday and then going to praise the Lord on Sunday.

BT: I take it you probably heard that Andre Ward said even though he's a Mayweather fan, he'll be rooting for Guerrero because they're friends that came up in the Bay Area.

FM: I mean, it's okay. If I remember correctly, I sold out an arena in the Bay Area maybe 12 or 13 years ago. Listen, I don't know how many people exactly live in Oakland, but I love the fans in Oakland. Not knocking Andre Ward, but he can't sell tickets nowhere. He can't sell tickets in Las Vegas. This is the only guy I know that's a gold medalist, but don't nobody know he's a gold medalist. He's a gold medalist, but he's making money like he don't even got a medal. Like I said before, Andre Ward, he's a good fighter, but who knows him? If you're not in Oakland, you don't even know who he is. He's getting older and time is ticking, so I mean, when is he going to ever leave Oakland and put assess in seats somewhere else? There's a difference when you say "Andre Ward". The only people that know him are in the boxing world. Floyd Mayweather is a worldwide celebrity; a worldwide mogul. You know, you got fighters, sometimes, they speak on certain situations where the thing is this, like I always tell you before, when you're a fighter getting a million dollars, a million dollar fighter like Andre Ward, if anything, you need to come to my camp so you can learn the blueprint on how to sell out arenas worldwide. I got the blueprint on how to sell out arenas worldwide. We know Adrien Broner is more known than Andre Ward. He don't even have an amateur background. He's got a gold medal? Let me get it and I'll melt it down and get a medallion made.

Cheers for posting that Rico. I didn't want to do because I've been banned for posting another website's article before, don't want it happening again. What are the rules anyway?

The name Son of God is referring to the fact that like everybody else who believes in God, Ward see's himself as a son of God. Not that he is the only son of God. I can understand why people found that confusing and I found it strange the first time I heard it, but with Mayweather claiming to be a Christian he should know better. and his last comment....where to begin.

Pretty sure Ward sells well in his hometown.

Ward has sold more tickets than Adrien Broner has ever sold.

Not every fighter in history that did well had to act like a twat to sell tickets.

Sorry Paulie I don't see what you can agree with here....Mayweathers talking ****.

 He's such a bitter ****. That Guerrero comment, a long with people starting to rate Ward as the number one, must have annoyed him.

Just curious, which arenas "worldwide" I.e. not in the United States has Floyd sold out? Floyd got famous for fighting De La Hoya, before that, who gave a **** about him? In his biggest fight Floyd was the OPPONENT and not the star. That article is just very petty, got a chip on his shoulder about something.

His comments on religion and God are badly hypocritical... "When one fighter is facing another fighter, God don't choose sides".

Yet this is the same guy who's said... "I’m a one man army, the world could go against me and I will still come on top, I got God on my side"

    The theology aspect :dead.

The second aspect whilst being true, is excessively bitter.

Floyd when he was Bob Arum and was just "Pretty Boy" Floyd was in the same position as Ward. Arguably pound for pound best but no gave a **** about him.

When he went off on his own, became this "Money" Mayweather character and started being really controversial in and out of the ring, then fans began to be interested in him. I admit his comments about Guerrero are petty but he's right what he says about Ward. He doesn't sell a dime anywhere because he won't fight outside Oakland. Has to grow a pair and do something rational to get fans to care about him, like Floyd did by striking out on his own. Otherwise he'll never be a boxing superstar. I'm not saying Ward has to start acting a dick, just be bloody interesting for once!

But that doesn't mean its the only way for a fighter to find success. Oscar De La Hoya played the nice guy his entire career and Floyd was his B side!

Not to go on some religious rant here, but to let you know how much of an idiot Floyd is being, its worth explaining this from a Christian perspective to some of you who are not. The 2nd Commandment is "Thou shalt not have false idols". The prime example of a false idol would be "Money".

I don't think Ward seems like a man that needs $250,000,000 in the bank. He seems quite content building a legacy in the sport he loves. He is making enough money to live an extremely comfortable life for the rest of his days.

Maybe I'm being pedantic, but he contradicts himself in that interview. Firstly he says everything in life is already planned out and what is meant to happen will happen, and that God doesn't take sides when it comes to boxing. Obviously has an issue with Ward calling himself S.O.G. Fair enough, the religious stuff is a bit much, but how many times has Floyd said "first of all I wanna thank God for this victory"? Floyd says he prays to make sure he and his opponent live to fight another day. Then why thank God for the victory if God doesn't take sides? This line from him is also strange "you got these guys trying to hurt a man on Saturday and then going to praise the Lord on Sunday".

He criticises folks for being religious one moment and then "putting tattoos on they body". :huh Not sure what the Bible's stance is on tattoos but he's talked about God plenty of times also, and he's no angel himself. I understand the point he's trying to make but it would help his argument if he wasn't being hypocritical and contradicting himself. So once again, it's just Floyd talking shite.
