Andre ward responds to mayweather: "he can pick up the phone and we can talk about it

    "If Floyd Mayweather has a problem with me or something that I said, he can pick up the phone and we can talk about it like men,"

    Mayweather's comments were likely motivated by the fact that Ward recently voiced his support for long-time friend and fellow Bay Area native Robert Guerrero, who will obviously try to dethrone the pound-for-pound king on May 4. Instead of engaging in a public war of words, Ward let it be known that he stands by his comments, as well as his friend, and if Mayweather has any issues that need to be addressed, he's more than willing to discuss them in private over the phone.

    Ward is smart. No need to get into a public war of words with a guy who thrives on it. Just stay low key.




    Although, if this had happened close to a fight for Ward, he definitely should have taken the press and ran with it.

    Look stupid....Ward was asked about who he wanted to win, he picked a friend he knew. And to you, that's the same as Floyd starting a beef w/ Ward over stupid **** like this? There's nothing hypocrityical there. You just aren't smart enough to see the difference. :roll:

    He was asked about who he'll be rooting for and he answered. I haven't heard him say negative things towards another fighter in the media. Mayweather embarassed himself as well because he talks about God as much as anyone.
