Mayweather lets rip at Andre Ward

He mocks others for not being superstars, but he forgets that, when it comes to exposure and popularity, he was in the exact same shoes as them. It weren't too long ago when he was crying about Morales being more popular than him. He only hit the jackpot thanks to Oscar. Without him he wouldn't be near the PPV star he currently is. In that regards he's lucky. Because noone else coming up -- not Broner, not Ward, not anyone -- will have a past-prime Golden Boy like he did that they can feast on to secure PPV statuses.

Not to go on some religious rant here, but to let you know how much of an idiot Floyd is being, its worth explaining this from a Christian perspective to some of you who are not.

The 2nd Commandment is "Thou shalt not have false idols". The prime example of a false idol would be "Money".

I don't think Ward seems like a man that needs $250,000,000 in the bank. He seems quite content building a legacy in the sport he loves. He is making enough money to live an extremely comfortable life for the rest of his days.

 

Nobody should really have an issue with Wards name. He isn't calling himself Jesus. Floyds logic is messed up but theres no reason why you can beleive God doesn't take sides but still thank him for the victory. Saying "Thankyou for the victory" is more if a quick way of saying "Thanks for giving me the strentgh to train, not eat bad food, take punishment etc etc"

On the list of sins, beating your wife and throwing money at strippers is allot higher up than getting a tatoo, I would imagine.

In a recent interview, Mayweather took a number of shots at Ward, questioning, among other things, his ability to sell tickets outside of his hometown of Oakland, California.

Mayweather's comments were likely motivated by the fact that Ward recently voiced his support for long-time friend and fellow Bay Area native Robert Guerrero, who will obviously try to dethrone the pound-for-pound king on May 4. Instead of engaging in a public war of words, Ward let it be known that he stands by his comments, as well as his friend, and if Mayweather has any issues that need to be addressed, he's more than willing to discuss them in private over the phone.

 

Yeah I personally have never had problem with him calling himself S.O.G. Religion is a personal thing and I do understand why some people would feel as though he's flaunting it a bit, but if that's what motivates him to train and be the best he can be then it's fair enough. He's not harming anyone so it's no big deal.
