i was at the fight and had calzaghe winning 116-113. it was the worst fight i've ever attended and i've been to quite a few fights. part of me wants to watch the fight again to re-score but both guys stunk up the place. complete **** fight.
:think You must have lived a very sheltered life to think this is what car wreck victims look like. This content is protected
I had Calzaghe winning. Close but clear. Hopkins won the first 3 rounds and then from 4-12, he did a lot of moving and not a lot of punching. Calzaghe took the fight to Hopkins. Now if you give 3 of those rounds to Hopkins, you have Hopkins winning by a point. I couldn't find 3. But i think i can understand if some did.
Yer it was a stinker. Hopkin got off to a flyer, but totally gassed, and should have been DQd for his bull**** Hopkin made it a horrible spectacle, and a supremely difficult fight for the Welsh Dragon from Newbridge, Wales. Hopkins is a dirty boring disgrace, but a supremely difficult guy to beat or look good against, and that Joe was able to make it so close after a KD and had him totally gassed speaks volumes about how talented Joe actually was Best part of fight was Joe making Borenard his ***** :yep
No, I box myself and we don't pride ourselves in getting hit at all. Hit and not get hit is the name of the game. Calzaghie had his nose broken and had noticeable marks on his face. You couldn't even tell Hopkins was in a fight. Plus Hopkins dropped him. To me the guy who landed more clean punches should win the fight. Not only did he Outland calzaghie but he also controlled the fight. I don't care what the punch stats say, I watched the fight over 100x and seen it atleast 10x in slow motion. I think there is a lot of butt hurt white people who didn't like what Hopkins said about no whiteboy will ever beat me. Hopkins won the fight clear and easy.
I thought it was a hard fight to score, and a close one. I think Calzaghe did enough to pull out the victory. Hopkins for sure landed the better punches, but just not quite enough of them.
BHop won, he only lost because the white judges wanted revenge on him for his comment about losing to a white man
