After seeing his fighter, Gavin, get beat by Broner, Eddie Hearn said Broner would also beat Burns. This was a few weeks ago when Burns wasn't his fighter. Asked again about it, he says:

"Yeh I did and I still do. I haven't seen enough of Ricky. I think Broner is an incredible talent. When I went to see Ricky over the weekend the first thing he said to me was that he wants to fight Broner. I said I have seen him close up. The only reason I think Broner would beat Burns at the moment is he doesn't have the momentum, he's not been in those big fights regularly enough, if we can get him to that stage where his confidence is buzzing and he is really in the routine and motivated then I think he can give Broner a great fight, but I do think Broner is an exceptional talent, not gonna go back on my word, it looks like he is gonna fight Mallignaggi at perhaps 143lbs and once he has done that I am not sure he will ever come back. It wouldn't be the end of the world if he didn't come back, because he is very very special, but so is Ricky Burns and we need that momentum to go into a fight like Broner"

Fact is, whoever Ricky is handled by, none of them want any problems.

It's a pretty common sense statement Rico, but the thing that needs to be remembered is Ricky and most of his fans want the fight.
I think that statement pretty much puts the ducking thing to bed.

Totally agree. Hearn's a smart man; that fight's a dead duck.

Yup, that's true. The fighter himself is the only one who wants it!

Hearn is just protecting Ricky in the media Ricky is scared of Broner. Lets not forget Rick made the excuse that he didnt have enough time to train for Broner when Broner would have had the same amount of time to train

To be fair, less than 7 weeks for a fight of that magnitude isn't enough to train. And it's possible that Broner himself would have already been in training.

No one takes you seriously on here (well at least over 16's)
Why don't you just rock off and let the adults have a serious conversation and head off to one of those threads with !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Notice how anything Schaefer says is absolute gospel to Diana yet anyone promoting Ricky is all part of a big cover up to keep the secret that Ricky lives in fear of Broner.

It's this guy who stops me being able to appreciate Broner when deep down,I actually want to.

    **** on this ****in turd:****

Bitter Old Man would **** him right up.:yep

There's a line between ducking and being protected. In this case I genuinely feel it is the latter.

Ricky's not making statements about not wanting big fights or knowing his limitations. Hopefully he can convince his promoter to give him his shot. He might regret it, but at least he wants to take it.
