Then why did Chico fight there against Casamayor years later?

****ed if I know, I just know he struggled with 130 in the 3 before he fought Floyd.

Edit: I tell a lie, I do remember Alex Ariza came in to do his nutrition before he fought Floyd to help him get down to 130 better, it clearly failed.

So your previous post of him should be null and voided given that he fought at that same weight you claimed he was drained at for several more years...Thats nothing more than an excuse!

These fools act like this wasn't common knowledge back then. yes, Corrales had talked about the weight, and moving up. Maybe he stayed at 130 for unfinished business, or found a better way to lose the weight, who knows. But that does not hide the fact that Corrales had spoken about struggling to make weight and moving up. Floyd fanboys know very little about things that occurred more than 5 years ago.

Every fighter always want a excuse in case they lose

I'm struggling to make weight but yet I'm gonna keep fighting at that weight.

I suppose to feel sorry for you :rofl

He fought 2 fights with Casamayor a few years later at 130. It wasn't like he campaigned at 130 for years after that. He moved up after the Mayweather fight then back down much later for two fights (one of which he lost). You make it sound like he went on at 130 for a decade after.

:patsch I'm sorry but a drained fighter doesnt stay at the same weight he's struggling to make...Do you understand what you're saying because its not making sense...If he Chico felt like making 130 was too much...I seriously doubt he would have fought at 130 for those fights after he lost to May...Its quite simple...IMO, thats a drawn out excuse from Chico and his camp given that he had several more fights at the same division he claimed he was drained at.

Its simple, if you cant make the weight in a healthy manner, you move up! There is no in-between here.

 He thought he was smart but he could have atleast moved up and stayed there to make his excuse legit! Not stay in that same division you claimed you were drained at!

:patsch I know you were only 7 or so when they fought. But it's true, Corrales had been talking about struggling to make 130. Like I said, maybe he got better at making weight, maybe he wanted to stay for unfinished business. We don't know. But what's true is his talking about the weight prior to the fight.

Your reading comprehension is shocking. After Floyd he did move up from 130 then after several fights above 130 he moved back down to fight Casamayor (more than likely for money reasons as 130 was stacked at that point). He didn't stay at 130 at all as you're saying - he went up then down later.

Was it smart to go back down to 130 to fight Casamayor? Clearly not, since a yet again drained Diego lost the first fight.

You can post videos all you want... You can try to say I cant comprehend or whatever bs smart antic you try to pull...call it what you want but I'm not falling for that bull**** excuse! Sorry, not about to happen. If he didnt fight at that weight class he claimed he was drained at then maybe his excuse might have been legit, but you cant expect everybody to fall for this BS...You might be gullible but a lot of fighters makes excuses after fights they've lost...Chico IMO, is making excuses.

It was talked about BEFORE the fight. It wasn't a secret either, everyone who was paying attention to the sport then would have been aware of Corralles' comments on his weight. Quit being such a stubborn **** for once...

How can he be making excuses after he's lost if he's saying it before the fight? Corrales was many things but he aint Marty McFly.

BTW, I'm not saying he'd have beat Floyd at 135 if they had agreed to fight there, I'm just pointing out that Floyd is being a bit of a hypocrite here even if I do agree that Ward-Dawson should have happened at 175 (as I'm on record as saying when the fight was announced at 168 ) Sorry if that pisses on your parade.

Every fighter struggles with weight. Only the smallest amount of exceptions. Most every fighter says making weight is the hardest part of a fight.

And when they do, they move up in weight.

They don't stay there and fight elite competition years after supposedly struggling to make weight. It doesn't happen. And when it does, it's like a Josh Clottey "I got diahrrea" type of excuse.

    ---

    What do they say?

The fights are often won or lost before they enter the ring. And the fault of whatever those reasons are lie solely on the fighter.
