Imagine it would be hard to get the European champion over at 5 weeks notice, Hearn has already said he's looking at getting Selby a crack at the European belt on the June show in Cardiff. No harm in Selby winning the Lonsdale outright in an uncompetitive fight in the meantime.
Why do you think that? Would rather see him in a competitive fight. If he can't get a good fight agaisnt a British fighter get a 10 rounder vs an x world champion. Or Choi!!
Rob your completely ignoring the point, you can't get them fights at 5 weeks notice, do you understand? :-( It's not like he'll be wasting time either, he's boxing again in June!
:nono I haven't slagged off Matchroom any more than I have slagged off FWP, as Ive said all along they are cut from the same cloth, you are bowing down to a false idol :deal
Surely it will be someone already in training to take 5weeks notice - probably means Warrington, Mounemine or Joe Murray.
I definitely approve of Choi as an opponent....I don't know if he is able to fight for the British title but he has held a British Masters title before
It isn't really 5 weeks notice though Hearn already knew this signing was happening when Rose signed, probably for longer
english champ josh warrington wud give him a hard nights work but out 22nd march defending his english title he wud come to win also with enough notice chris male wud take the fight and come to win yeah selby is a good fighter but their are flaws in him his not the finshed article yet.
they do it regular selby prob been in camp 3 or 4 weeks of a 10 week camp then they make offers to fighters on shorter notice then u take it or leave it
fighters should always be training at this level. 5 weeks is ample time. Darren Hamilton beat Theophane for the British at 4 days notice.
Nahhh . A , The kids 26 years old and a Lonsdale belt is still a thing of beauty to win & B , It wouldn't do Borgies gym any harm having it rather than not having it.
