Why doesn't Andre Ward unify the titles?

Carl Froch is the current IBF title-holder. Andre Ward could probably beat Froch again, so why doesn Ward unify the titles? He should be looking for that. Everyone who wants the title will be forced to fight fight and will build his name up.

Why should Ward bother? Why pay all those sanctioning fees? He's the champ at 168, and everyone knows it.

Froch has a fight soon, vs. Kessler. OR did you want Ward to somehow unify quickly before that fight takes place? :huh

I hope Ward takes the winner of Froch/Kessler even though we've seen both fights before it would cement his place further as number 1 at SMW

He'll be an undisputed champ, everyone who wants a title will be forced to come to him. The current Kessler-Froch bout has an incentive because of the IBF belt. Ward will make a better name for himself this way.

Instead of people going to Froch or Kessler for a belt, they will have to come to Ward. People will duck Ward less.

No, he would unify the titles after the Kessler-Froch bout. If Froch wins, it might boost his confidence for a rematch with Ward.

Then you asking why he DOESN'T unify makes little sense, since the future is not set.

Didn't Froch have to give up his title?

Everyone around Ward are getting bigger paydays though.

    Pascal-Bute at 175 are both getting 2M+
Kessler-Froch are both getting 7 figures.

No one needs Ward, and that's a problem, especially when he doesn't travel and isn't exciting.

I know I would but the sanctioning fees alone would be 12 percent of his purse I believe, I guess he's alright with everyone knowing he is the best

Why bother wasting money on sanctioning fees? He's already beaten all the other "champions."

The big guys dont care about titles anymore.

Mayweather,Pacquiao,Marquez,Martinez,Donaire etc arent concerned about unifying meaningless belts.

People know who the best fighters are, plastic belts dont mean anything anymore

should boxers boycott belts then? if belts are meaningless then why should fighters carry them?
