If I've seen tape of both guys, I'll make a prediction based on that, level of competition, age, size, and stylistic factors.

In this case, since I have good background knowledge of both guys, I'm picking how I usually pick, and that's Canelo.

When I'm totally unsure who to pick and unfamiliar with both fighters, I'll usually decide based on who looked better at the weigh-ins, who has better attire, and who had better entrance music before the fight (I mostly only resort to that in MMA though, since I don't follow MMA as closely as I follow boxing.)

That sometimes even works in situations where I do know about both fighters and might even be favoring one on more conventional methods before a fight. I was favoring Overeem (as was much of the universe) before the Bigfoot, but immediately developed some doubts following the weigh in. I even said Overeem was absolutely toast when he came out to that shitass rave song as an entrance, and had garbage gray shorts to boot. This on top of looking soft at the weigh in. And I was right.

well as the pictures show, canelo does not look undersized how cotto looked like a midget at the weigh ins' canelo looks bigger, and just a few inches shorter, so we know who the powerful guy is gonna be in there.
