How Many British World Champions Will There Be At End of 2013?

There are 3 British World Champions at the moment of course

Carl Froch
Ricky Burns
Nathan Cleverly

How many do you think they'll be at the end of the year and who do you think they will be?

 

I'd bet on Brook and maybe Fury. The three current champions to remain champions also (I guess it's four really if you don't want to include Cleverly. I fully understand if that's the case).

Possibilities;
Groves - if fast ed makes the Stieg/Abra fight
Frampton - think he's more likely to fight for a world title in 2014
Fury - depends on the Klit situation and what Haye does
Khan - if he gets Garcia again and stays away from the hook

So in summary, 4 definites for me and 4 possibilities - 8 would be quite something

 

Possibilities but not IMO for me are:
Khan
Macklin
Barker
Bellew
Fury

 

Agreed there really, other "possibilties" are

Haye - probably best chance against Povetkin, should they fight
Bellew - going down the Dawson route, wouldn't give him much of a chance against him, but you never know, he could end fighting one of the other champions
Macklin - could land himself another title fight
Afolabi - Interim champ at the moment, could end up with another World title fight

Others that I'd say are unlikely, but possible to fight for a world title include:
Martin Murray - unlikely to beat Martinez
Barker
Selby - could be quite possible
Rees
DeGale
Quigg

 

Froch, Burns, Cleverly, Brook, Frampton, Quigg (will become full champ), Alafobi, Haye.

You think that Quigg will beat either Donaire or Rigondeaux?

 

No.....like I said will become regular champ when the winner of that fight is unified/moved up.

 

I assumed that when you said full you meant super, rather than regular....its madness :-(

 

Looks like Romero could happen in June, if not a final eliminator and then Romero before the year is over.

I got a feeling Bellew could get Dawson in September at Goodison Park or the MEN. Maybe just maybe an emotionally weak Dawson could fold with the crowd behind Tony.

 

Ok i know this is optimistic but why not. if fights get made i can see us going into 2014 with a host of champions. Il go with 9
Froch, Burns, Cleverly, Brook, Frampton, Quigg ,Haye, Groves
and Khan. Think Afolabi and Bellew could also do it. In fact if Bellew-Dawson happens I think he can win that fight.

Cant see Dawson coming here.
