margarito couldnt even do damage against that cabbie he fought right before pac. the guy was no good. if he was, it was for about 5 months until mosley bashed his brains in and made grits outta them

 

Marg was far from a bum.

1. There's no chance he had loaded gloves vs Sergio. I know Sergio was green, but he was still a natural and nobody else did that to him. Marg showed some power there.
2. Without loaded gloves, hurt Pac worse than in years
3. Cotto insisted he defend his 154 belt at a catchweight against a demolished, one eyed version of Marg. That may be unprecedented, I don't know of another champ that wanted a CW for a defense, much less against a medically unfit non contender

 

nada Bradley hadn't done **** at welter but beat a super shot Joel. That's how many likes em coming off weak performances

He beat Abregu, who's a solid gatekeeper/fringe contender. But don't forget he was Ring p4p, and as such probably capable of tackling his 2nd division, esp since he was 152 as amateur.

And of course he was clear #1 at a pretty strong 140. That's very good considering Ortiz had trouble breaking into the top 10.
