That's the 2 options. He should fight those 2 guys and choose those 2 options. It's pretty simple.

He looked great before getting KO'd by JMM.

But the fights before JMM 4 made you think he should be retired.

That and Pac - Rios would be great fights for 2013.

He'll come back late this year, fight Bradley again (and not get robbed this time), and then use the lure of a 5th divisional world title for JMM to meet him one last time on Cinco De Mayo weekend 2014.

JMM probably retires regardless of what happens in that fight; Manny will retire if he loses. If he wins, I could see him hanging around for a Floyd fight and then retiring.

Either way, I don't think he should stick around longer than 3 more fights, tops. Whatever he decides to do though, I wish him the best and hope he retires on a high note with his faculties intact. The man has given a lot to boxing and deserves a nice farewell, at the least.

 

He should take a soft touch to assess where he is. I wouldn't recommend jumping straight back in with JMM.

 

He's given so much to the sport. He's been in a ton of exciting fights. Hopefully this isn't a money thing, but it likely is.

If I was managing him, I'd advise a going away bout and this would be his last year.

 

Exactly, that's part of why I want to see him fight Bradley again. If he can't do what he did and win easily again, or worse, if he even gets floored or stunned by the featherfisted Bradley, that's a surefire sign he should retire.

I can't see Manny getting stopped or hurt by Bradley though unless his chin has suddenly gone Roy Jones Jr. on us. Which it might have.

I think if his chin was really gone for good though, he'd probably be getting trashed and beat up on in sparring, and that news would make the rounds even before the next fight happened, a little like how Valero was beating the crap out of DLH near the end of his career during the Pacquiao camp.

Pacquiao might just be able to stay motivated for two more fights.

 

Prior to the knockout he looked good his speed and movement looked fine and it looked like he had his killer instinct back something he seemed to had list in the mosley and bradley fights. Bradley and rios will be good opponents if the marquez fight doesnt happen next . U could even throw broners name in later in the year if he beats malignaggi which i think he will he'll be a champion the mayweather fights never happening broner vs pacquiao is the closest we'll get to mayweather vs pacquiao

 

You must be new to boxing ta say that, G. Before trashing Pac, spend more time around the game, in hardcore gyms talking to fighters and trainers.

 

This is an ideal scenario for all involved. Pac gets a chance at revenge, Bradley a shot at a clear win all without really putting Pac's long term health in danger.
