why would byrd disagree? losing every round against Vitali probably doesn't give him much of an argument unlike Corrie who put Wlad on the canvas. and by the way, corrie > byrd.
First off he didn't lose every round. Second, all the rounds were close. Third, he made Vittles quit. Fourth, it was on less than 2 weeks notice on a different continent. Fifth, Vits didn't want a rematch, which seems to be the end all of arguments to klit fans. And forget about Sanders > Byrd. Corrie beat exactly ONE top 10 fighter his entire career. :nono
Byrd won against Vitali and did not get enough credit for this win. Byrd was a very smart and skilled boxer but without punching power for a Heavyweight and he made Vitali quit. Vitali´s punches missed, he was frustrated and after 9 rounds he quit. This big man quit against a "little" fighter for a Heavyweight with less punching power. If he was so dominated and not in danger he could have made it for 3 rounds with one arm. Holyfield had an injury against Byrd too and he fought on.
Ok I want to say something to all the people who are so afraid to say that Klitschko lost fair and square against both Byrd and Lewis. 1. If he dominated the fight like you said he does why did he QUIT when there was just a couple of rounds left? Can you imagine Muhammad Ali quitting willingly like that? 2. A punch made his face look like the inside of a tomato can. Do you really think it was stopped prematurley? If the fight had gone on he would probably never have fought again and would get stopped because his eye would be out of his socket. 3. And if a rematch would of taken place don't you think Lewis would of trained alot harder for it then he did for the initial match now when he knew that Vitali meant buisness?
