Imagine Rees as a match up in September as well as Gonzalez in may...w Arren can't pay enough for decent fights,Hearn doesn't want to re Burns. The lad would be fuming if that scenario played out imo

 

I would have no issue with Rees as the opponent as long as he beats someone decent in a good fashion in June.

Seriously, this popped into my head earlier today and I had to sit down, hopfully he can't make 135 anymore

 

A potential fight with Vasquez in April to a padded fighter in May and then Rees is a step back,Rees is not as good as Vasquez. Hearn has mentioned Vasquez as a possible for Sept,hopefully that comes off. Burns needs the biggest fights now.

 

Hopefully he'll get a big fight like Corley.

I said potential. I've been following the whole thing like everyone else here and one thing I'm confident about is that nobody can categorically state that fight on April 20th was not going to happen.the whole situation is too cloudy,fact is Vasquez was a potential opponent,a padded fighter and Rees is sept is a step back from that imo

 

So why would a fighter feel obliged to produce a sick note to get out of a fight that was never happening?
