Impossible to call right now but its intriguing

I'd rather wait & see how both look in their next fight but Ive got a feeling a motivated Chisora could be too much for Price to handle

Have spoke about this fight quite a bit with some mates. To be honest, I'd lean towards Chisora.

Price has great power put his defensive frailties have been shown up by Skelton and Thompson. People can say TT got lucky but the dents in Pricey's armour were revealed first in the Matt Skelton fight. Skelton rushed forward, lay on David's chest and him roughed up. Price took some punishment and didn't look at all comfortable for as long it lasted.

Chisora fights exactly the same way as Skelton, just younger and far better. I think he could really beat Price up unless David makes some defensive improvements. Maloney is best keeping Price away from this fight for the time being.

    Fairly easy to call, IMO.

Tall outside boxer Price has much bigger pop. (although Chisora has heavy hands)

Beefy tank-like infighter Chisora has much sturdier whiskers. (although obviously Haye upended him)

    Usually with such a recipe...

Chisora's leaping left hook which he likes to wind up and let go at the start of a combination is pretty wide and open to be countered by the right. With someone who is as right hand dependant as Price & who possesses the power he does in it (it's a harder punch than Haye's left hook anyway which put Del Boy down), I can imagine him stopping Chisora at some point.

Would fancy Price to stop him chisora can be a bit easy to hit but its a close one. Price needs to improve his lateral movement, he tends to back up in straight lines, chisora would look to get on his chest so price would need to use lateral movement and throw counter shots as he did.

Erm.... until Price got flattened by Thompson I'd have said that it'd be a one-sided execution.

To be honest, I'm reluctant to place too much emphasis on that fight, despite his notoriety Chisora hasn't really beaten many decent fighters, and is much shorter than Thompson....

Plus, it depends how much he has left, in all honesty. Haye executed him, and he's had a long spell off.

You don't reckon Haye (even part-timer Haye) is a level above Price? :think

I was high on Price as well during his rise - but always wary of his Achilles heel becoming an issue. I hope he can get back on track and do alright - but rushing in with Chisora isn't the proper way to go about that, IMO.

Chisora may be shorter than Thompson but he's a great deal stronger and more forceful. He will get inside and land on Price - and while I've got plenty of faith in Price's 1-2 to eventually get the job done if given enough time and enough instances of flush connection (since Haye showed us conclusively that you can indeed jam up the caterpillar treads of this particular tank if you throw enough well-timed power at it) I just don't know if he'd get the opportunity. Fundamentally, Price is a far superior boxer to Chisora - but this wouldn't be a nice pretty boxing match. It would be a brawl, and for me Dereck's got that in the bag.

I think Price stops him in the mid rounds, possibly after going down.

I think Del Boy could cause him trouble, and rough him up. But I fully expect Price to be more defensively minded from now on, and I can't see Derek having enough to stop him, although I think he can trouble him. I see Price finding his range after a few rounds then putting him down in the 6th.

said from day one Chisora stops him, now we've seen how bad his chin is it would be early, one swinging right hand from Del Boy and its over

Always said Del Boy by TKO and was emphasised by the Skelton fight

no chance price ever gets up, he has no recovery powers, thats his downfall. watched him in the ams an when he get hit he cant clear his head. he stays dazed for a long time
