Man, I didn't even know who this guy was before this thread. He'll definitely be on my radar now.

Before yesterday knew nothing of Shafikov. After watching footage he looks very useful, he will be a handful for anybody at 135. Looking forward to seeing him today against Rahimov. Interesting to see if he can get a stoppage against a solid pro who's never been stopped before.

Anybody know the weigh in results? Can't find them. Wondering if he made 135 or not.

    From the article

"For my last fight (a 12-round points win over Albert Mensah in Mexico in December), I weighed 62-kilograms and I wasn’t trying to cut weight.”

62 kg is 136.5lbs so considering that he weighed that without even cutting 135 won't be an issue.

If that's true then why hasn't he been fighting at 135 (or 130) all along?

Interview I read yesterday said he was at 137, not sure when that comment was made though.

Shafikov beat and broke Rahimov down round by round and Rahimov got enough and find his way out with low blows in 11th round. Didn't see the fight but I heard it was a good performance by Shafikov :good As usual!
